British-born international superstar and cultural icon Jay Sean took the U.S. pop culture market by storm in the mid-2000s, launching a career that has spanned nearly 20 years. In addition to being the first Indian artist and the first South Asian artist in history to achieve a No. 1 on Billboard’s charts, he is also the first Indian artist and South Asian artist to land a No. 1 Latin single on Billboard; the first Indian artist and South Asian artist to perform on Top of the Pops; and the first British Asian artist to have simultaneous top 10 Billboard singles in the U.S. From 2008-2012, Jay enjoyed U.S. radio and chart domination with 5 consecutive Billboard top 40 singles. “Down, I Made it” (With Kevin Rudolf) “Do You Remember, 2012,” and “Hit The Lights.”
In 2016, he made a triumphant return to UK and European Radio with his hit single featuring Sean Paul and Maluma, “Make My Love Go,” which charted top 10 on the official charts in the UK, went top 10 in Germany and the Netherlands and landed Jay the headline slot for Eurovision’s finale performance.
In 2019, Jay had another global hit, this time in the form of a remix, when Regard, an unknown DJ from Eastern Europe took Jay’s vocals from his earlier top 10 UK hit “Ride It” and turned it into a dance smash. “Ride It” went on to become a No. 1 radio single in the UK, reached the top 10 across most of the world’s charts, and eventually hit the rarefied air of 3 billion cumulative streams.
In 2024, Jay launched his film & TV company Rebel Heart and his record label 3am. He has several artists signed currently and 3 TV & film projects in development.
