About the speaker

Luke Donald captained the victorious European Team in the 2023 and 2025 Ryder Cups and is now set to Captain team Europe for a historic third time at Adare Manor in 2027. He is a former World No. 1, a position he held for more than 56 weeks during his career. He has recorded five PGA TOUR wins along with eight additional international victories. Donald claimed back-to-back BMW Championships in 2011 and 2012 and represented Europe in four Ryder Cups, all of which ended in victory for his team.

During his outstanding 2011 season, he achieved a historic double by winning both the PGA TOUR money list and European Race to Dubai, becoming the first player to top both in the same year. He was subsequently named PGA Player of the Year and the European Tour Golfer of the Year. Before turning professional, Donald won the NCAA Division I title at Northwestern University in 1999.
