Tomlin led the Steelers to 13 playoff appearances, eight division titles, three AFC Championship Games, and two Super Bowl appearances. At age 36, he led Pittsburgh to a Super Bowl XLIII championship, becoming the youngest head coach at the time to win a Super Bowl. Over his 19 seasons in Pittsburgh, Tomlin earned 193 regular-season victories, placing him among the winningest head coaches in NFL history.
Before taking over in Pittsburgh, Tomlin built his defensive expertise with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, coaching the defensive backs as part of the staff that won Super Bowl XXXVII. He later served as defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings before being named head coach of the Steelers in 2007.
