Rob Kearney is a retired professional rugby player with a truly stellar career with Leinster Rugby, Ireland and the British & Irish Lions. His career spanned over 15 years, making him one of the most well recognised and trusted sportsmen in Ireland. During his career, Rob won several major honours with Leinster and Ireland, including 4 European Champions Cups, 6 Pro-12 Titles, 4 Six Nations Championships and the famous Six Nations Grand Slams in 2009 and 2018. Individually, Rob was recognised as European Player of the Year in 2012. Since retirement, Rob became the first men’s former player to sit on the Executive Board of World Rugby.
Rob has vast experience delivering keynote speeches, TV punditry, and Q&A discussions. Rob is part of Virgin Media’s punditry team covering international test rugby across the Six Nations, Autumn Series and Rugby World Cup.
Rob is a successful businessman with a keen interest in entrepreneurship. He is involved with numerous Irish companies from startups such as Bua Fit to now established practices like Mason Alexander and Elkstone. Rob also owns a selection of successful pubs in Dublin, Ireland alongside his former teammates Sean O’Brien, Jamie Heaslip and his brother Dave Kearney.
Rob still has a huge passion for sport since retiring. Rob is an avid golfer and paddle player. Maintaining health and well-being is a strong component of Rob’s lifestyle. Rob also has strong ties to the United States as he is the 7th cousin of former President Joe Biden!
