Ralphie Albert
Early Career
A product of Surrey’s Talent Pathway since the age of nine, Ralphie joined the county Academy in 2024. In 2024, he also guided Epsom College to an impressive 8 wicket victory over Westminster School in the Cricketer Schools 100 Championship. While fulfilling his other cricketing commitments, Ralphie continued his club cricket with Banstead CC.
Surrey
Having made his professional debut against Derbyshire in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup as a 17-year-old, Ralphie signed his first professional contract following the season’s conclusion. Across the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Ralphie made two County Championship appearances. On debut against Hampshire in September 2025, he scored a career-best 68, before recording his best bowling figures of 3 for 86 against Warwickshire the following season. Shortly after his debut against Derbyshire in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup, Ralphie marked his first professional One Day innings by hitting an accomplished 96 runs off the Nottinghamshire bowlers. In 2026, he produced his finest bowling return to date (3 for 48) in a win over Gloucestershire in the same competition.
England
Since 2025 Ralphie has featured regularly in England Under 19s squads. Ralphie has played five Youth Tests. He debuted against India Under-19s in July 2025, scoring a first-innings half-century in the opening Test. He went on to take an eye-catching 6 for 53 in the second Test, completing a memorable 10 wicket haul in the match. In 2026, Ralphie captained England U-19’s in three Youth Tests against South Africa and Pakistan. The drawn second Test against South Africa in 2026 saw Ralphie further enhance his promise with a well-crafted maiden century from 157 balls. He followed that up with a complete performance in the only Test against Pakistan U-19’s, where he took 9 wickets and scored 128 runs in the match.
After making his Youth ODI debut against India in 2025, Ralphie played an influential role in England’s run to the 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup final. His highest score to date is 52 vs Bangladesh, while Ralphie’s best bowling figures of 4 for 56 came against Ireland, both recorded in September 2025.
